  • DO I NEED TO FILE A US TAX RETURN?

U.S. Citizens and green cardholders may have to file U.S. returns even if they live outside the U.S. and are paying taxes in their resident country.

  • WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO FILE?

Overseas residents have until June 15th to file but must pay any taxes owed by April 15th.  Overseas residents may apply for an extension to file which due date is October 15th.

  • DO I NEED TO REPORT MY FOREIGN BANK ACCOUNTS?

Overseas residents may be required to report foreign bank accounts to the Department of the Treasury.

  • I AM NOT A US CITIZEN OR A GREEN CARD HOLDER BUT I RECEIVE SOCIAL SECURITY FROM THE US. DO I NEED TO FILE?

Non-US citizens who receive income from U.S. sources may need to file a return if the income is not properly taxed at source.

  • I OWN STOCK IN A SWISS CORPORATION. WHAT ARE MY FILING OBLIGATIONS?

Overseas residents owning shares in a foreign corporation may be subject to additional filing requirements.
